The son and grandson of renowned French chefs, Vincent Samarco is a Parisian restaurateur that arrived in Los Angeles two years ago. He got his start in the restaurant industry at 18, and has never left. His most noted projects include developing Derriere, and the art concept Nomiya (Palais du Tokyo), both in Paris.
From dive bars to Michelin stars, Vincent has done it all… and with a joie de vivre you won’t forget. Since moving to L.A., Vincent has fallen in love with California and has big plans for his future here.
The dinner and dessert we had hear was excellent. The octopus I ordered came with this silky smooth wine butter sauce that I only dream I could make and my dates duck was delicious as well. Dessert was equally amazing. Service left something to be desired but doesn't take away from the quality of the food.
An absolute gem in LA. I almost don't want the secret to get out, but they deserve all 5 stars and more. The ambiance can't be beat, the food is incredible and the wine delicious. It truly reminds me of the bistros we frequented in Paris. Vincent is just wonderful as are the waitresses and bartenders. Happy hour can't be beat. Highly recommend!
The chicken is so so so good. It's with morel mushroom sauce... wow. Nearly ever table I've sat next to has also got this dish because it's that good. It comes with pillows of fried potato bliss aka Pommes dauphine. The staff is very French and lovely.
Every time I find myself saying 'mmmmm' as I eat here. The owner Vincent is so kind and always is patient with me on my lackluster French. Authentic French experience great vibes great wine and I come here if I'm ever feeling down because it makes me so happy. Goat cheese salad is so insane and I dont ever eat goat cheese other than when I'm here. Come enjoy wine and the French experience with Vincent.
Great authentic Parisian bistrot, awesome for a date night or any outing really. Has such a great vibe and food. My favorite is their goat cheese salad, croque monsieur, and the angel eggs (deviled eggs). Great happy hour too!
